Our Process

The Minimoon Studios process guides students through a series of steps to success:

Our Process Graphic

Assessment: We assess your individual goals in the industry to tailor a focused curriculum specific to your strengths and goals.

Brainstorm: Using our own “Brainstorming” technique, we provide a list of actors, roles, films, playwrights, songs, plays, and more that suit your acting style, which have a relatable essence or which may inspire you. Through this research, we set you on a path to self discovery in which we find and tailor the appropriate and proper audition material for each individual.

Navigation: All actors must discover their personal voice – what makes them an individual. They also must use that knowledge to find their way into the industry and accomplish their goals. We are focused on helping each student through this process–we are your navigation through that discovery.

Real World Guidance: We help students to distinguish between the myths and realities of the acting business, and will prepare you for whatever your particular goal is – whether it be acting and performing as recreation in local theater companies, transitioning into directing or stage management, or even pursuit of a professional acting career. Whatever your goals, we have the vast expertise and networking skills to help you to achieve them.

Networking: As seasoned industry professionals, we are a bridge from the educational world of acting into the business, and actively work to help talented students find inroads to a successful acting career.

Education: We assist all students in finding the appropriate school if further training is desired.

I have been taking lessons with Faith and Natasha for a year and a half. In that time we have worked on audition technique, putting together a solid book of songs and monologues, acting for the camera and my own cabaret act. One of the best things is, I’ve done it all without leaving my house. It’s been absolutely incredible to have our lessons via Skype. These are two great teachers who are dedicated to you and who really listen. I’ve grown more as an actor with Faith and Natasha than I did at theatre school. They help you make a game plan to get yourself into the business.
Faith and Natasha have become more than teachers, they’re family. Over my time with them they’ve become a real support system for me, there to listen and to guide me on the right path. It’s more than just acting, they teach you how to be true to yourself and give you the tools you need in order to have a long career. They’ve inspired me to live a rich, truthful and honest life. With these two women on my side, I know I can accomplish anything!

– ANDREW MORRISEY, actor and student

“The support and guidance I have received from Natasha and Faith on both creative and career fronts have been invaluable, and have led me to take many positive steps I would not have known to take otherwise—finding the proper training center, assembling a portfolio of audition materials, becoming an effective self-marketer. Their encouragement of artistic exploration has ensured that as I grow I also find fulfillment in each step. I am not the same person I was when I began, and I look forward to seeing where Minimoon’s guidance takes me in the future.”

-LEX MICHAEL, actor and student

“I owe so much of my love for theatre to my time at Minimoon Studio! Faith and Natasha didn’t just prepare me to be an actor in New York City, they taught me how to be a person people want to work with. Their weekly classes gave me personalized attention and honed my work as a performer, but also helped me develop the skills to work with others in a healthy way and thrive as an artist in the real world. There were countless classes where Faith and Natasha helped me through personal breakthroughs that were then reflected in my work. Their studio was a safe space for me to work and explore myself so that I could deliver a better product in auditions, rehearsals, and performances. Without them, I wouldn’t have been prepared for my college auditions. Without them, I couldn’t have directed, produced, and starred in my own cabaret. Without them, I wouldn’t have made it to New York for school and work!
Working with Minimoon Studio was honestly one of the best decisions I made for my career.”

– JUSTIN PETERSEN, actor, producer, director and student

“Natasha and Faith are amazing. They are like walking encyclopedias of Broadway show tunes. It’s fascinating to watch them pick out perfect songs for everyone in their classes. I’ve learned songs I didn’t even know existed that now I’m totally in love with. I always look forward to lessons because I learn so much and have so much fun at the same time. I really look up to Faith and Natasha.”

-KATE BRUGER, AGE 13, student

“The classes and lessons I’ve enrolled my daughter in at Minimoon Studio have–hands down–been the best investment I’ve made in her theater training. Not only has she become better prepared and more confident for auditions, she’s learned an incredible amount about acting and singing. Faith and Natasha have a professional experience and expertise that is unparalleled in Sacramento. In addition, they are just delightful and so much fun to be around. I can’t recommend them highly enough.”

-HILLARY BRUGER, parent

“Minimoon Studio has been such a gift to me as an actor and a person. Working with Natasha and Faith, as well as the various other teachers has given me the tools and confidence to pursue acting. They have helped me with everything from audition tools and material, to interpretation and understanding of what is needed to act in a truthful manner. The private classes have given me the opportunity to discover myself and grow, and the group classes have allowed me to learn from other students and teachers, and receive invaluable feedback from directors and casting directors at the mock auditions. I have come so far since I began working with Minimoon Studio, and they have been such an asset to the Sacramento acting community.”

-MILAN WILLIAMS, actor and student

“As a parent, you know when your child has experienced something impactul and when the people involved are able to make a permanent impression. That is how I feel everytime my 10 year old works with Faith and Natasha. She has not only grown as a young performer, but has also been challenged to really find her voice and a deeper understanding of acting. The “one on one” opportunity to train with Natasha and Faith is priceless.”

-HEATHER GORDON, parent

“Every minute I spend with Faith and Natasha is inspiring and has been so valuable to me and my desire to be a better performer and singer. The range of musical theatre music and monologe selections that I work with at Minimoon, have challenged me and given me a greater confidence on stage.”

-EMMA MAY GORDON, student

“Taking classes with Natasha and Faith has given me invaluable knowledge, provided by true experienced theatrical veterans who know what it takes to make it in the theatre business. It’s the best guidance you will find in the Sacramento area. If you have any desire to pursue a musical theatre or theatre career, look no further! This wonderful duo will have you laughing, crying, and singing your hearts out, all in a nurturing and positive environment for actors and actresses of all ages.”
